Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2015 Honda Accord Sedan
Question:
I would be using a bike rack with the hitch receiver on my 2015 Honda Accord Sedan. What do the straps connect to on the car? Would they secure between the bike rack to the receiver or to the car body somewhere? I am planning on getting a Thule or a Kuat Platform style rack. The rack makers do not mention a necessary strap option. thanks in advance for the great pricing. Blows everything else away!

The strap in question, # 18050, can attach to the trunk lid on your 2015 Honda Accord when using Curt hitch # C11681 with a bike rack. I linked a video showing how it works.
The strap is a requirement from Curt, the hitch manufacturer, so you would not see that required from the bike rack manufacturers.
If you have not decided on a bike rack yet I recently got to play around with the new Thule T2 Pro, # TH23JV. It is very easy to use since you can tilt the rack up and down using the handle at the end of the rack. This means you won't have to stand between the vehicle and the rack to tilt it like you would with the old design. It also works with fat bike tires right out of the box. Thule also does rigorous testing, see video link, and the rack is made in the USA.
For Kuat I have always been a fan of the NV, # NV22G. It looks good, it is aluminum, and has a built-in repair stand should you need to make repairs to the bike. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.
