Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2016 Chevy Camaro
Question:
The new 6th gen Camaro is on a different chassis. Will this hitch carry over, or will we have to wait for a newly engineered hitch?

The 2016 Chevy Camaro will require a new hitch which is # C11900. Hitches for the previous generation will not fit.
This is a Class I trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. The owner's manual states the vehicle is not designed or intended to tow. It doesn't say you can't so towing is at the user's discretion. The correct ball mount to use is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring you can use # C59236.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. You will also need to use the strap # 18050 when carrying unsupported loads like bike racks or cargo carriers.
