High Capacity Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Ford F-350

Can this Fifth Wheel Reese Low-Profile 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 30,000 lbs RP30054 work with a 2004 Ford F 350 Super Duty Dually 8 Feet Bed.

The low profile fifth wheel hitch part # RP30054 is designed shorter to fit the taller truck bed heights of flat bed trucks. Since you have a standard bed 2004 Ford 250 this would not be the correct hitch for you.

For a similar capacity hitch that is standard in height we have the Husky fifth wheel hitch part # HT31318-31325 which has a 26k capacity. For rails to install this hitch in your truck bed you would want a custom kit that would minimize drilling and install time. For that you would want the part # HT31412-686.

For a 7-way to install in the bed of your truck to make connecting your trailer lights easier you would want the part # 41157. Most 7-ways will be at the rear of the truck near the bumper which doesn't work will with fifth wheel hitches.
