Roof Cargo Carrier Box Fit for 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and Allow Hatch to Open

Question:

I need the biggest cargo box possible to fit my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. The front clearance is 56inch and the crossbars are 33inch apart. The roof rack is dealer installed but is supposed to be same as Pathfinders that already have them installed. We have been using a box that is 13.1 cu. ft. and 94 inches long. I would like to get the Yakima Showcase 20 if it will work. Thanks.

Since you have 56 inches of front clearance I recommend the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 22 cu ft - Black Glossy # TH629906. This carrier will give you the most storage capacity and will still allow you to access your hatch. This carrier will work with your crossbar spacing and only requires 55 inches from the front crossbar to your hatch seam for clearance so it will maximize your potential and still give you the carrying capacity you seek. This box is 91-1/2 inches long, 37-1/2 inches wide and 18 inches tall.

The Yakima Showcase was discontinued and the replacements won't fit your clearances.
