Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon for Carrying Folding Bike Rack
Question:
Hi - I am trying to decide on a hitch for my 2016 Subaru Outback wagon. I have a fold up bike rack. Im between the Draw-Tite Class III and the Curt Class III. Which one would you reccomend? Or what measurements can I take that would help narrow it down?

For your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon I would recommend the Draw-Tite part # 75673 over the Curt hitch part # C13206. The Curt hitch requires the use of a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 when you carry a bike rack with it and the Draw-Tite does not so because of that I would go with the Draw-Tite. Failure to use the strap with the Curt will void the warranty.
The Draw-Tite has a distance of 5-1/2 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to the outer most portion of the rear bumper. As long as your bike rack has at least 5-1/2 inches from it's pin hole to the nearest portion of the bike rack when folded up your rack would fit and clear easily.
I attached a help article on how to take this measurement as well.
