Will this hitch fit with a full size spare?

The hitch will fit a vehicle with the full sized spare, but we recommend temporarily removing the spare to make the installation easier.
For some Acura MDX models, the rear fascia around the spare tire might need to be trimmed to allow the hitch to be installed. The exhaust might need to be temporarily lowered off of the exhaust hangers to allow access to the attachment points on the vehicle frame.
