Running Wire Inside Vehicle When Installing Wiring Harness On 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

Dodge Grand Caravan 2013 I would like to run all my wiring T-One kit, brake power line and 12V trailer power inside my vehicle to avoid corrosion. I live in Ontario and the liquid deicer is a killer!. Do you have any video detailing how this is done? Specifically the panels to remove and best runs to the batter, brake controller and fuse panel respectively. Id like to try this myself, but if it is too difficult to do on the interior, Ill have to pay someone. Thanks

Since the area we live in does not have the harsh weather you have we do not have a video of the wiring being run as you requested.

The Curt harness that is designed to fit your 2015 Grand Caravan is part # C56331. when installing this harness, you have only one wire that needs to be run to the battery. The harness plugs into the vehicle wiring behind the tail lights. Since you remove the tail lights to access the wiring connectors, you do not have to worry about exposed wires there. I do recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755 on the electrical connections to prevent dirt and moisture from getting in the connectors.

You do need to attach the white ground wire to a clean metal surface and then you can run the black power wire up to the front of the vehicle to the positive battery post. You can run the wire up to the front by using a plastic tool that can be found in the trim panel kit part # ALL647989. Just tuck it beneath the interior panels along the driver side using caution so you do not damage the wiring. Once you reach the firewall under the dash you can either cut a grommet going through the firewall and run the wire through it or drill a hole in the firewall to fish the wire through. Make sure you check inside the firewall on the engine compartment side to make sure you do not drill through anything.
