To determine if the Curt bumper mount trailer hitch # C19031 will fit your 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 with factory bumper you have to look to see what the holes spacing is on the bumper. The hitch will fit if the bolt holes are 10-1/2 inches apart on center.
If the hole spacing won't work with your truck I recommend a frame mounted hitch, # 13322, which will also be a stronger hitch since it attaches to the truck frame. It is rated for 600 pounds tongue weight and 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight. When used with weight distribution it is rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight and 10,000 pounds gross trailer weight (limited to the towing capacity of the truck).
I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4 which comes with a ball mount with 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
If your truck does not have a trailer connector already you can add one using # PK11898 if there is a wire bundle above the spare tire (and not a plug with a cap on it). If there is a plug with a cap on it in that location use # 30955. I have linked some helpful videos for you as well.
