Are Spacers Needed for Air Bag Installation in Lifted 1996 Ford F250 Crew Cab

Question:

Good morning, I am interested in purchasing this kit for my 1996 Ford F250 Crew Cab short bed truck. My truck is four wheel drive and has a 4inch lift kit installed. Will this part fit correctly? and does it require anything to compensate for the 4inch lift on the rear? Thank you.

If your truck has a 4-inch suspension lift, rather than a body lift, then you will need 4-inch spacers to install a rear-axle air bag kit like the Firestone Ride-Rite # F2071. You can use Lift Spacer kit # F2370. If you have a body lift, no spacers are needed.

The basic Ride-Rite kit comes with everything you need to install and manually inflate the air bags. If you wish to add a compressor to allow adjustment from the comfort of your driver's seat you can add kit # F2158 which will control both air bags equally.
