Do Thule Lock Parts 853-5917 & 753-3725-02 Work Without a Lock Core Installed
Question:
I am considering buying the replacement bolt 853-5917 and housing 753-3725-02. My question is will this work without a lock cylinder temporarily or does the housing have to have a lock cylinder in it to engage with the pin?

The Thule Replacement Lock Housing # 753-3725-02 will not engage the Replacement Threaded Pin # 853-5917 until you install a Thule lock core # TH512. This kit includes two cores (so you have a spare) and also a Universal Control Key which is needed to install and remove the core.
