Can a Fifth Wheel Trailer be Towed by a 2016 Ram 2500 with Ramboxes

Sounds like you are talking about a Rambox. There is a way to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a 2016 Ram 2500 with a Rambox but you have to install a Sidewinder on the trailer so that the pivot point for the hitch is raised up high enough to clear over them.

Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.

You will then need to use a stationary hitch in the bed of your truck like the Reese Select Plus part # RP30928. This is a great hitch that has a single hook jaw that provides great fifth wheel king pin contact.

For a rail kit you will then want a custom install kit that will minimize drilling and install time like the part # RP50054-58 which has been confirmed as a fit.
