Connecting the Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack with 7-Way Plug to Power

Question:

Do you have to hardwire to trailer? Or is there a connector that hooks to the battery?

The Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack # UF38-944037 that you referenced is designed to get power from the tow vehicle by connecting to the vehicle's 7-Way trailer connector. The connector on the jack will plug into the vehicle's 7-Way socket in place of the trailer's connector.

The jack has a 7-Way RV-style plug that uses the ground and 12V power wire connections at the rear of your tow vehicle in order to power the jack. The # UF38-944037 is a great jack option for trailers that do not have batteries or if you do not want to manually wire the jack to get power.

I have attached a review video of this jack, as well as a photo showing the jack's connector that will plug into the 7-Way on the vehicle.
