Comparing Curt Front Mount Hitch Receivers for a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
I have a 2015 GMC 1500 Sierra Crew Cab short bed. What is the difference between the Curt #C31069 versus C31012 front mount hitch. I would like to minimize the change in front ground clearance.

Expert Reply:
Curt front mount hitches # C31069 and # C31012 are nearly identical with the exception of what all each will fit. The newer C31069 is designed just for trucks whereas the C31012 also fits some GM SUVs such as the Yukon and Escalade.
But as far as how they will fit on your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 they will be the same. I have linked instructions for both. Both require front fascia/air dam trimming so the bottom of the receiver will sit about 1 inch lower than the bottom of the fascia/air dam.
