Would the 7-Way Molded Trailer End with 6' Cable # 54006-009 Stay Flexible When Cold
Question:
My Featherlite horse trailer wiring/plug is heavy black rubber-like and in cold weather it gets so rigid that it pulls against the truck receiver and works loose even though theres a small clip on the receiver cap to hold the plug in place. It has gotten so even in warm weather the two ends wont stay securely connected - my lights flash on and off and my brakes wont stay connected. I know its in the plug-receiver connection because I can hold the two together or wiggle them and get connection again. I just ordered a replacement truck end receiver but I dont want the same thing to happen again. With this trailer wiring/plug stay really flexible so that it doesnt pull against the receiver in cold weather?

The 7-Way Molded Trailer End with 6' Cable # 54006-009 that you referenced should work great for you. It would not get stiff enough when cold to prevent it from making proper contact. We have not had any customer come back with that issue either.
