Guidelines for Running Power Line to Front of Vehicle When Installing Powered Taillight Converter
Question:
What path should the hot lead take from the back end of the Impreza to the battery up front? Is there some wiring tunnel I could push it through to make the connection?

There is no one 'accepted' method for running that power wire to the battery. Our installers will usually try to follow existing wiring harnesses, or will choose the route that keeps the wire well protected. I don't have any video footage to show you, but I can link you to an FAQ article we've produced that will give you some good guidelines to follow. If the wire will be exposed, using some wire loom like part # 7509-10 will provide some additional protection. You can use zip ties to secure the wire to the underside of the vehicle.
As you route the wire forward, be sure to avoid anything that's hot like the exhaust system or anything that will move like steering or suspension components.
