Should I Use Radial Or Bias Tires On My 1992 Prowler Travel Trailer With Tandem Axles
Question:
I have a 1992 24FL Prowler travel trailer with two axles. I would like to replace the tires and see that you have that size in radial as well as bias. I believe the tires on it are 20575R15 load C but I dont know if that is the correct size and type recommended. The tow vehicle is chev 3500 dually. Can you give me information to help decide please.

If the tire size is the ST205/75R15 Load Range C we have the Loadstar ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range C, # AM1ST92, which is a bias tire with a maximum load of 1,820 lbs. at 50 psi.
We also have the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C, # AM10244, which is a radial tire with a maximum load of 1,820 lbs. at 50 psi.
I would recommend the radial tire over the bias tire because of better stability, better ride comfort and it will also dissipate heat better. Heat buildup inside a tire is what will cause many problems with tires. Radial trailer tires will also usually give you longer wear.
To get the correct tire size for your 1992 24FL Prowler trailer you will need to look in the owners manual or see if it is listed on the trailer somewhere. You can also call the trailer dealer to have them look up the tire size, they might need the VIN number of your trailer to do that.
