Hitch Recommendation for 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Question:
Hi there, Recently I became the member of Mitsubishi motor group. I purchased Mitsubishi Outlander sport ASX. I am happy with everything and would like to install the hook-on device on my car. For this purpose I need to provide confirmation on technical characteristics of this car. I need confirmation on my car on the weight which can pull my car, the Mass of the trailer. Thank you very much!

Good news! I was able to look up in your owners manual your vehicle's capacities.
Your gross vehicle weight rating is 4,343lbs, your vehicle capacity weight is 827lbs and your maximum roof capacity is 176lbs. You can also look at the sticker in the driver's side front door jam. The sticker should list the GCWR, gross combined weight rating which represents the max weight of the tow vehicle + the trailer. If you subtract the weight of the vehicle (curb weight plus weight of passengers and cargo) from the GCWR, the result is the max trailer weight.
I recommend the Curt # C13079 trailer hitch for your 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, because it has the 2 inch receiver opening and has the highest capacity for accessories.
To tow with your vehicle the wiring harness you will need if you have LED taillights is # 118538 if you do not have LEDs then you will want the # C59496.
