Recommendations for Jacks to Lift a Trailer 28 to 30 Inches

Question:

I built a trailer that will need a jack on the rear so that I can pull the spindle/wheels off trailer. Then the trailer will be lowered to the ground to be used for storm and shade capabilities. The trailer weighs about 3300 lbs and I believe I will need to lift the trailer about 28-30 inches from ground or 0. Will the scissor jack lift something like this from ground up to 28 inches or 30.

RV and trailer scissor jacks such as # UF48-979031 are meant for stabilization purposes but not lifting applications. What I recommend is to use a couple of farm jacks such as # RP7033400 which are meant for lifting. This model has a maximum lift of 42 inches. It will also be easier to use than scissor jacks. But they have to be used manually and each one raised evenly with the others.

Another option if you want something permanently attached to the trailer is to use some landing gear such as # LC333966. This type of system is found on 5th wheel trailers. This model is rated for 6,000 pounds at has 37 inches of lift.
