Can the Demco HiJacker 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Moved from One Truck to Another

Question:

I have a 02 Dodge in a short bed. Would like to use this hitch and then transfer it to a long bed dual in the future. Is that possible or do I need to buy another hitch?

You can move the HiJakcer Autoslide hitch # DM8550035 from one truck to another without having to buy a new hitch. You would just need a compatible installation kit for the new truck.

For your 2002 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 short bed the installation kit you will need is # DM8552009-71. Once you have a new truck you just call us up or visit our site and we can show you the kit that fits the new truck.

There are some trucks that there is no installation kit for so I recommend checking with us ahead of time just to make sure that there is a kit that will fit. The number of trucks that do not have a kit is very, very small but I would be remiss if I didn't mention it.
