Will The Hitch From A 2000 GMC Jimmy 4X4 Fit A 2003 Jeep Liberty
Question:
Hello ... I had a Hitch 87520 installed professionally on my 2000 GMC Jimmy 4 X 4 back in 2003. Could you tell me if this hitch model will fit a 2003 Jeep Liberty ? thanks

The Trailer Hitch, # 87520, has been replaced with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75186. The vehicle applications for the Draw-Tite , # 75186, is for 1988 to 1997 Nissan Pickup, 1998 to 2004 Nissan Frontier Pickup.
It does not list it as fitting a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4X4 and it will not fit a 2003 Jeep Liberty.
For the 2003 Jeep Liberty you would need the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75128. It is a 2 inch Class III hitch with a 5,000 lbs. towing capacity and a 500 lbs. tongue weight capacity. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the hitch and a video link to the hitch being installed on a 2005 Jeep Liberty.
If you will be towing, you will need the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount, # 80232, and the Pin and Clip, # PC3. You will also need a hitch ball. Depending on the coupler size on the trailer you will be towing you will need either a Tow Ready 1-7/8 inch Hitch Ball, # 19260, or a Tow Ready 2 inch Hitch Ball, # 19247.
The trailer wiring harness you would need is the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118524.
