Expert Reply:
The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 with the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3035-P will work well for your 2004 Ford F-150. The wiring adapter will make installation easy by connecting the brake controller to a port under the dash near the center console. I have attached an installation video of this harness and a similar brake controller on a 2004 F-150 for you.
As you noted, to change the 4-Flat at the rear of your vehicle to a 7-Way you will want the Tow Ready Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118247. Since you have already installed this on your F-150, you will not need any additional wiring to add the brake controller to your vehicle.
