Trailer Hitch Recommendation Thats Compatible with Kuat NV Bike Rack for 2014 Ford Fusion
Question:
Hello, I have a 2014 Ford Fusion SE dual exhaust and looking to install a trailer hitch so I can carry my bikes. Can you tell me if the Kuat NV 1.25inch hitch bike rack will work on my Fusion? Thanks

The most economical hitch choice to carry a 2 bike rack on your Ford Fusion would be the Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch, part # 24897. The Curt Class II # C12091 you referenced is a bit less expensive, but Curt's warranty requires that a stabilizing strap like # 18050 be used for extra support. Since the Draw-Tite hitch doesn't require the strap, all told it'll be less expensive.
The Draw-Tite Class I hitch I recommended would work perfectly well with the Kuat NV bike rack you mentioned, part # NV12G. The hitch would allow enough clearance so that the bike rack would install and be able to fold up into the storage position without worry of it contacting the rear of the vehicle.
If you click the provided link, you can see a video showing the hitch I recommended being installed on a 2014 Fusion.
