Blue Ox Patriot or Stay In Play DUO Supplemental Braking for Flat Towing 2015 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

Looking to add a supplemental brake device to my TOAD 2015 Jeep Cherokee being towed behind a Tiffin Phaeton Freightliner Chassis - Diesel with air brakes. Bouncing between Blue Ox Patriot and SMI Air Force One - am guessing the SMI would be the better configuration, but appears to be a somewhat time consuming install realative to the Patriot. Any suggestions? How easy is the SMI to remove and re-install when/if I trade in the Jeep? Thanks,

If you know you are going to be trading in your 2015 Jeep Cherokee at some point I would recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR instead. The Patriot installs very easily and works just as good as the DUO. If it were me that is the route I would go with.

I attached an install video for both kits for you to check out to see what the install would be like.

The downside to the Patiot would be that it removes from the vehicle everytime you get down flat towing it, but it's not difficult to remove. The SMI is very involved, but once you install it you won't have to mess with it and most likely won't want to end up removing it unless you had to.
