How to Pick Out Trailer Wiring for a 2015 Kia Sorento V6

I recently purchased a used 2015 Kia sorento v6 with AWD. How do I determine if it has the factory tow prep package? Thank you.

Sounds like you are looking for trailer wiring for your 2015 Kia Sorento V6 and aren't sure which to pick since the two kits available are listed for either with or without the tow package.

If you don't have a trailer hitch and/or trailer wiring most likely you do NOT have the tow package, but you can check the original window sticker of the vehicle or even call the dealership with your VIN to verify this. If this is the case the part # C56256 would be the correct harness. BUT this harness will fit vehicle with the tow package as well since it just installs inline with the vehicle taillights. So if you want something you can order right now and not mess around with figuring out if you have the tow package this will work either way.

However, if you do want a harness that will be slightly easier to install and you do find out for sure you have the tow package you would want the part # C56332.

You can also check underneath your vehicle to see if you can find the connectors this harness would plug into and use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to determine if the pins are active if you like.
