Brake Controller Wiring Harness and Plug In Location for a 2014 Ford Explorer
Question:
Good morning, I have a friend who has a 2014 explorer limited with a factory installed tow package. Where is the wiring harness located and will I need an adapter to hook up a primus IQ? Thank you.

On a 2014 Ford Explorer that came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector there is a brake controller port to plug in a brake controller. It is located up under the dash near the steering column or left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. To plug in the Primus brake controller, # TK90160, you will need wiring harness # 3035-P. I have linked the installation instructions for you.
