Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2016 Volkswagen Convertible Beetle

I am looking for a bike rack to attach to a 2016 Volkswagen convertible beetle. Are their any trunk mount models that will work?

For a 2016 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible the only option you have for transporting bikes is a hitch mounted option. First you would need the hitch installed. For that you would want the part # C11354.

The Swagman XTC2, part # S64670 is one of the most popular racks because it's so easy to use, and because the rack has an angled shank that would raise the bike rack up by three inches providing additional ground clearance. Because of that, this is the rack I'd recommend for you. The rack includes an anti-rattle hitch bolt, but a combination anti-rattle hitch lock/cable lock is available separately as part # S64031.

You would also need to use a stabilization strap # 18050 when using a bike or cargo carrier with the Curt hitch.
