To know if the Curt 20x60 Folding Cargo Carrier, # C18151, will fit your 2003 Toyota 4Runner when folded up you will need to make one important measurement. You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point on the rear of the vehicle. If it is less than 6 inches, this carrier will work. If it is more then the carrier will touch the rear of the vehicle.

I do have the Draw-Tite 20x48 Folding Cargo Carrier, # 6502, which has more clearance when folded up. It has a measurement of 7-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier when folded up. It also has a 500 lbs. weight capacity.
