Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Ram 3500 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2016 3500 ram crew cab srw with bandw turnover ball hitch. I plan to tow a jayco eagle 355 mbqs. Am I better off towing with the Reese goose of pin box and ball extension or a bandw companion slider ? The end result is about the same cost, so Im looking at what the various pro/cons of each would be. Thanks in advance.

Your best and only real option will be the B and W Companion Slider part # BWRVK3400. This will give you the additional clearance you need to make tight turns. The Reese Gooseboxes are great but they do not provide additional clearance for tight turns. Even with an offset adapter.

The Companion was designed to work with the Turnover part # BWGNRK1314-5W that you have installed in your truck currently so it would be an excellent choice.
