Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2016 Honda Civic EX Sedan
Question:
My question... any holes need to be drilled or the cutting of sheet metal/guards required for the installation of this hitch? Is it possible to install this hitch without putting the car on a lift? If possible please attach the installation manual - Thank You,

Drilling is required to install Curt trailer hitch # C11604 but there is no trimming mentioned. I have linked the instructions for you.
You can install the hitch without having the vehicle on a lift. If you have ramps or some jack stands then those will provide you will more space to work.
The recommended ball mount for this hitch is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball I recommend # 19258. And for trailer wiring I recommend # 118686 to add a 4-Way flat to the back of the vehicle.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.
