With the numbers of the seal and bearings you provided, I was unable to find components that would match those you said you have.

You said you have bearings that are part # L44643 and your seal is PT 203025. The only race we have that is designed to work with the # L44643 bearing is part # L44610. This race has an outer diameter of 1.980 inches. I recommend using a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 and measure your spindle in the area noted for the race in the attached drawing to make sure you get the right replacement parts and they work well for you. You will also want to measure the inside dimension of the hub to make sure the outer diameter matches with any replacement parts.

From my research I found the dimensions of the PT 203025 seal from National has an inner diameter of 1.218 inches and an outer diameter of 1.983 inches. The closest seal we have to that is part # 34823. This has an inner diameter of 1.249 inches and an outer diameter of 1.983 inches.

While you have everything apart you will want to inspect everything to make sure there is no further damage. I recommend you replace the bearings, races, and seals while you have it apart so that all the components are in good working order and to give you peace of mind.

Once you get the correct measurements let me know and I will be happy to find the replacement parts you need for your trailer.

Thanks for the photos. They really help when looking for the right components. From the looks of the photo it appears the metal ring is indeed a spacer. I talked with some other Experts and we believe that it may have been used because a seal was not available for your spindle. That would explain why the bearing went bad. Adding the sleeve would possibly allow the grease to leak out and cause the bearing to go bad, which as you know can cause the other problems. You will want to measure the place the spacer rides on the spindle and that is the inner diameter you need for the seal. You want to measure the inner diameter of the hub that the seal sits in and with those two measurements you may be able to find a seal and race that will work. I wish I had a more definitive answer for you but we do not carry sleeves used for this purpose. You may need to go back to the retailer who sold the trailer or find the manufacturer and see if they can explain how that was set up and if the replacement parts are available.
