If Trailer Wheels and Tires Have Different Weight Capacity What is Actual Capacity

Question:

Kenda Tires and Wheels - AM32764, the Wheel capacity: 3,050 lbs, and the tire Maximum load: 3,640 lbs at 95 psi, that is 590 Ibs different, does that matter. I have a toy hauler GVWR 13500 with 6 lugs with aluminum wheels. If my aluminum wheels are rated the same as the steel wheel, can I use my aluminum with that tire also, or should I changing to steel wheel, would this package be better, and is the Kenda USA made.

When determining what the overall towing capacity of a setup is you have to go with the lowest rated component as the overall capacity and then from there determine if that would be enough capacity.

If the lower rating of the setup is high enough for your setup then you would be totally fine. If your aluminum wheels are rated the same as the steel wheel of the # AM32764 they would work just fine.

For just the tire you would want part # AM10295 if you do not need the rim.
