The hitch mount cargo carrier I recommend for your 2015 Subaru Impreza is the 20x48 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110. Thic carrier is designed to fit both 1-1/4 inch, Class I and Class II, and 2 inch receiver hitches. The weight capacity of the carrier is 300 pounds. It is also important to note that if your vehicle or hitch is rated for a lower tongue weight, the carrier will be limited to the lowest capacity component.
The # C18110 cargo carrier has a distanced of 6-3/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier and the shank has a 3-3/4 inch rise to help with ground clearance. Keep in mind that it is important to keep cargo away from the heat of the exhaust. I believe the exhaust on the Impreza Sport Wagon points down, which will help protect your cargo. Pre-drilled holes along the sides of the carrier provide attachment points for tie-downs.
I have attached a review video of this cargo carrier for you.
A great cargo bag option is the etrailer Cargo Bag # e98990. The bag measures 40 inches x 20 inches, so it will fit well on the # C18110 carrier. This bag is constructed of premium quality rainproof material. It can hold 9 cubic feet of cargo. I have attached a review video of this cargo bag.
If you 2015 Impreza hatchback does not already have a trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch # DT24959. This hitch has a 1-1/4 inch receiver and offers a 200 pound capacity tongue weight.
