How to Determine if the Thule Force XL Cargo Box Would Fit and Clear Rear Hatch on Roof
Question:
saw your Thule625 Force XL install on a Toyota 4Runner 2012. I have a 2011 and I am considering this box but, would the box work ok fit, do not obstruct the trunk door, etc with the manufacturer installed crossbars? Please, let me know.

Here's how you will figure out if the cargo box will interfere with the rear hatch of your vehicle.
You will need to slide your front crossbar as far forward as possible (it it's adjustable), and then you will need to measure from the center of the bar to the seam of the rear hatch. If that measurement you took is more than 51-1/8 inches then the rear hatch will open without interference.
Your 2011 Toyota 4Runner is a pretty large vehicle, so I would be surprised if you did have hatch interference.
