Recommended 5th Wheel Wiring Harness for 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2-Foot Bed

I HAVE A 2016 CHEVROLET 2500HD AND WAS WONDERING IF THE CURT 5TH WHEEL/GOOSENECK 7FT WIRING HARNESS IS LONG ENOUGH

For your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2-foot bed I recommend one of the longer 5th wheel wiring harnesses such as Curt # C56000 or Hopkins # 41157 which are 10-feet long, or the 9-foot Bargman # 50-97-410. The 7-foot harnesses will be just long enough but not allow you the routing flexibility (or that nice bit of extra slack) that you'll have with one of the longer products.
With any of these 5th wheel harnesses your bumper-mount factory 7-way will remain active after you install the 5th wheel harness.
You can use dielectric grease like # 11755 when installing the harness to prevent entry of dirt and moisture that can lead to corrosion and connectivity issues.
