For diamond pattern tire chains for your 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 265/75R16 tires I recommend the Thule XB16 chains # TH01571265. For your tire size this is the only option that has the diamond pattern and can be used on or off road.
But if you want something that is going to give you the best grip in snow, ice, and even mud then I recommend the Pewag tire chains # PWE2439S. These chains have large square links which provide the best grip making them ideal for extreme environments. I have linked a video for you.
And if you want to take it all the way to the top, I recommend the Pewag ASV chains, # PWASV82. They are sort of a cross between the two other chains mentioned above. This is a full coverage chain designed for the most severe conditions.
Be sure to consult the truck owner's manual for additional information on the use of tire chains. I have also included a link to our help article on tire chains.
