Equipment Needed to Carry Roof Cargo Box and 4 Pairs of Skis on 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Question:

I drive a 2013 hyundai Sante Fe and was looking for a roof rack that could use a combination of a roof box and the thule 2-4 ski holder at the same time. Are there any options that would be wide enough to accompany both items?

If you used the Thule SnowPack ski carrier, part # TH7324 that can carry 4 pairs of skis or two snowboards and the Thule Pulse # TH615 with its 16 cubic foot capacity, you'd need roof crossbars that have at least 57 inches of space.

If your Hyundai Sport has a bare roof, you can install a Yakima Roof Rack that would offer plenty of space for the ski rack and cargo box mentioned above. The rack would consist of the following parts:

66 Inch Long RoundBars, part # Y00410
BaseLine towers, part # Y28TR
RoundBar adapters, part # Y03536
BaseClips, parts # Y06130 and # Y06133

If your Santa Fe has the flush mounted roof rails, you'd use the following to construct a roof rack:

66 Inch Long RoundBars, part # Y00410
SightLine towers, part # Y64AR
RoundBar adapters, part # Y03536
SightClips, part # Y06015

All the parts I recommended would work well together. Thule recommended the Pulse roof mounted cargo box because it will allow you to fully open the rear hatch without any interference.
