The Bulldog Winch Mounting Plate Kit for Jeep CJ, part # BDW20009, is a confirmed fit for the 1984 Jeep CJ7. This mount fits model years 1976 all the way through 1986.
My contact at Bulldog Winch confirmed this mount uses the industry-standard 10- x 4-1/2-inch center-to-center mounting hole spacing also used by SmittyBilt.
