Is Spare Tire Removed When Installing Curt Trailer Hitch On 2005 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
Once this hitch is installed, can you replace the spare tire in its usual position on a 2005 Silverado half ton short bed 4.3 engined pickup? Thank you,

When installing the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13322 on your 2005 Silverado, the spare is removed while installing the hitch.
The spare is placed back in its original location under the bed of your truck. It is removed only temporarily so the hitch can be installed. You can check out the attached installation instructions to see how this hitch is installed on your truck.
