Trailer Hitch Fits for 2012 Chevrolet Cruze 2LT RS
Question:
Looking for information regarding a trailer hitch on a 2012 Chevy Cruze 2lt Rs. Not seeing if the hitches will work with the Rs model considering the bumper is different than the other models. Thank you

All three of the light-duty Class I hitches we offer for the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze will fit all models of the vehicle. The trim level does not affect hitch compatibility. Of the three hitches shown on the linked page I suggest the Curt # C11282 since it has the same weight capacity as the others but it costs less.
An installation video for the Curt hitch # C11282 is included along with the written instructions. You'll need basic tools; the only specialized item required is a torque wrench like # ALL944001 which is needed to ensure the fasteners are tightened to the manufacturer's specs as shown in the instructions.
If you plan to use any non-trailer load on the hitch, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, then you'll also need to use Curt stabilizing strap # 18050. This is required to maintain your hitch warranty; it is not needed if you tow a small trailer.
Note trimming of the heat shield is required to install this hitch but this step is NOT needed with the Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch products. Also, the strap is NOT required for these hitches.
