Do you install the gauge before, after, or instead of the propane regulator?

The Camco # CAM59023 Propane Gas Gauge/Leak Detector would install between the regulator and the propane tank. One end of the gauge assembly would screw onto the tank, and the regulator would screw into the other end of the assembly.
