Fitment of Kodiak Disc Brakes on a 2007 Keystone Montana 2980 RL
Question:
I want to perform a disc brake conversion on my 2007 Keystone Montana 2980 RL. I have two Dexter D52-8 axles. The back of the drum plate says Dexter PR-FF SEC-PP 6KPR-GG SEC-GG 12 X 2DX0 36-89. It has an 8 bolt on 6 1/2 center with 1/2 inch studs drum. Dexter says the seal for my drums now are 2.25 x 3.376 x .38 I think she said a 10-36. When I last replaced a couple bearings it was - inner 25580 and outer 14125A. From what I can tell this kit should fit. Can you verify? My other concern is if the caliper mounting bracket will fit my axle as mine is not a 7000 lb. axle as stated in your description. My mounting plate does have 5 bolts - 3 inches apart at bottom corners 3 1/2 inches apart at top corners and one in-between the top two at 12 oclock but slightly higher than the top two corners. The top 2 corner bolts are 2 inches higher than the bottom two corner bolts. Like they are at 12 2 4 8 10 oclock respectively. Thanks

Good news, the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR712E will work for your 2007 Keystone Montana 2980 RL.
The caliper mounting bracket will fit your standard 5 bolt configuration which is used by 5.2K, 6K, and 7K axles. The bearing kit you will need for this brake kit is # BK3-200.
Something to keep in mind is that if you previously didn't have hydraulic brakes you will need a brake actuator like # HBA16 and a brake line kit like # DM5425. We do have a HydraStar Kit # CAR-HBA16-2 that includes the actuator, line kit, and breakaway kit. You will also want to make sure that your brake controller is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 or the P3 # 90195.
I've attached a Help Article on all the parts you will need for your convenience.
