Brake Controller and 7-Way Recommendation for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Question:

Dear Etrailer, I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport with the maximum tow package. The Jeep came with a 4-pin connection at the hitch. I need to pull a small camper with a 7-pin connection. Is there yet a pig tail or harness which will allow me to change my Jeep to accept the 7-pin connection from the camper so that I have breaks as well as all lights? If so please let me know and I would like to review the installation instructions in advance of purchase as well. Kind regards

You would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

These two parts come with everything you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and install a brake controller to activate the trailer brakes.
