Location of Trailer Brake Controller Installation Port on 2016 Ford Explorer
Question:
I have a 2016 ford explorer and i cant find the factory plug under the dash to plug in my brake controller. Any info on where it might be located would help.

Your 2016 Ford Explorer will have an under-dash brake controller connection port as long as it came from the factory with a 7-way trailer connector like # HM40975. The port should be located above your left knee (as you're seated in the driver's seat). It may be necessary, according to my technical contact at Tekonsha, to remove a black plastic appearance panel on the dash to get access to the controller port.
Once you find it you need only wiring adapter # 3035-P to install the Prodigy P3 controller # 90195.
