Which Hole Should Receiver Adapter Screw Install In on Saris Freedom SuperClamp Bike Rack

Question:

Freedom SuperClamp 2. My rack arrived with the main part of the rack which fits into the hitch with a silver hex screw installed on the sleeve leaving only one hole for the bolt for the locking hitch tite to go through on my 2inch hitch. The hole wont accommodate the bolt. It would seem that I should loosen that screw and expose the other hole. As I am totally new at this I thought I would ask first. I am just surprised the rack arrived with the wrong hole exposed. No hex wrench came with the rack to the position of the slide cover, but I probably have one.

When the 2 inch shank adapter is installed on the Saris Freedom SuperClamp 2 Bike Platform Rack, the small silver hex screw should be installed on the smaller, rearmost hole of the shank.

The threaded, anti-rattle, hitch lock will install on the larger hole when used as either the 1-1/4 inch shank or 2 inch shank.

I have attached a photo showing these to holes in the SuperClamp shank.

This works similarly on the newer Saris SuperClamp EX2, part # SA4025F.
