Sliding 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch and Under-Bed Install Kit for a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed
Question:
I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 short box. It has NO 5th wheel rails right now. I want to install a hitch to tow a 5th wheel trailer but I don't want rails in the bed because I use the truck for hauling cargo as well and need a clean bed. What do you recommend?

We do have under-bed installation kits that will fit your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed and hitches to match! For an under-bed install kit I recommend B&W kit # BWGNRK1016-5W. This kit also doubles as a gooseneck hitch should the need arise.
For a hitch I recommend the B&W Companion hitch # BWRVK3400-5W. With this set up, when the hitch is removed, the bed will be clear. I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
I also recommend adding an in-bed 7-Way trailer connector, # PK11893-11932, to make hooking up the 5th wheel trailer easier. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
