Truck Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation THule OutWay 2 or OutWay 3 for a 2005 Toyota Corolla.
Question:
which rack would work better based on size of rack vs size of trunk lid? the thule outway 2 bike bikerack or thule outway 3 bike bikerack? I dont need anything too big for my car that it will have problems opening up the trunk lid or carrying 2 road bikes.

Both Thule OutWay Bike Racks are a fit for your vehicle.
These two racks are basically identical except for the length of the arms, and that is because the OutWay 2 # TH45JV will carry 2 bikes versus OutWay 3 # TH56BV which has a longer arm for 3 bikes. Hollywood Rack limits you to 35 lbs. per bike.
The OutWay is only trunk rack that I have seen that allows you to open the trunk with the rack on it. However, you must remove the bikes first.
Either OutWay rack is fine. This is a top of the line rack that is the absolute easiest to install and remove because it uses only 2 straps compared to the 4-6 of other racks. If you think you might ever need to carry three bikes, I would suggest the OutWay 3 # TH56BV. It would be better to have the capability than to regret it later.
If you will be carrying any women's or children's bikes the Swagman frame adapter # 64005 would make these bike carry more level and easier to load.
I have attached a few videos of the two racks for your convenience.
