Question:
Hi guys, SO many options on these wiring adapters. I can see that some have the bracket/ some dont. I have a 4 pole on the TV and 7 pole on my camper trailer. I dont have brakes on the trailer. which wiring adapter would you recommend? Infiniti FX 35 installed with OEM 4 pole wire. Coleman Pop Up Camper 7 pole plug

We have many 4-Way to 7-Way adapters you could install on your Infiniti FX35 but the one I recommend the most is # 37185. It is similar in design to the Curt version, # C57674 so you could use either one.
If you only need the lights on the trailer to function then all you would have to do is mount the adapter, plug your 4-Way into it, and ground the white wire to a bare metal surface. The other wires can be taped up and stowed out of the way.
If the trailer has reverse lights (uncommon) then you would need to splice into a reverse light wire on the vehicle using the purple wire on 37185 or the yellow wire on C57674. The blue wires on both adapters are for electric brakes. And the black wire on each is for 12 volt power. If the trailer has a battery or otherwise needs 12 volt power then you would also need to wire up the black wire.
You will need about 20 feet of wire # 12-1-1, sold by the foot, a couple of ring terminals such as # DW05705-1, and a 40 amp circuit breaker # PK54540. The 12-1-1 wire will attach to the black wire on the adapter. Then you will route it under the vehicle and up through the engine compartment near the battery. Under the hood you will mount the circuit breaker. Pull the newly routed wire to it and cut off the excess wire which will be used later.
Attach a ring terminal to the end you routed and attach it to the AUX post on the breaker. Using the remainder of the wire attach a ring terminal to one end and attach it to the BAT post of the breaker. The other end will go to the positive battery terminal.
Instead of getting ring terminals and butt connectors separately I recommend using wiring kit # HM51020 which includes an assortment of connectors and various other useful parts such as wire ties to hold the routed wire up close to the vehicle.
