27K Reese M5 and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2015 2016 GMC Sierra 3500
Question:
Presently installed on 2011 GMC 3500. Planning to trade for a 2015 or 2016, most likely 2016, GMC or RAM. What parts would I need to order for this installation in any of these situations and which would you recommend as best possible combination for ease and success.

To install the Reese M5 27k hitch part # RP30922 in the bed of either truck will require you to also install a set of Elite rails in the truck as well.
If you end up with either the 2015 or 2016 GMC 3500 you would need the Elite rail kit part # RP30868. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
Since there isn't an Elite rail kit available for the Ram trucks you are considering I would strongly recommend you go with the GMC.
