Class III 2 Inch Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2016 Honda Pilot

Question:

I am in need of a trailer hitch and 4-pole connector for my 2016 Honda Pilot. The dealer wants way too much money and I heard great things about etrailer. Can you help me out? Looking for a Class III hitch because all my accessories are 2 inch. Thanks!

I will be happy to make some recommendations for you and your 2016 Honda Pilot. First, for a trailer hitch, a popular option is Curt hitch # C13146. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver. I linked a video showing an example installation for you.

To add a 4-Way trailer connector you can use # 118760 which plugs into the factory tow package wiring port on the vehicle.

I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
