Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Fleetwood Pioneer 19T4

Question:

Need help in selecting weight ratings of a WD hitch Just purchased a TT to be towed by 2010 Ford F150, supercab, 4.6V8 Fleetwood Pioneer 19T4, GVWR 6100, dry 4032,TW dry 572 ??Seems 800GTW, 8000 matches the GVWR best but might be light for GTW ??Seems 1000GTW, 10000 matches the GTW best but might be heavy for handling Your recommendation?

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

Assuming your trailer will weigh it's max capacity of 6,100 lbs when loaded and ready to tow your tongue weight would most likely be 600 to 915 lbs. A 1,000 lb tongue weight max setup like the # FA94-00-1061 that you were looking at would be a great option.

However, if you think your trailer will be closer to the dry weight when ready to tow then the 800 lb setup part # FA94-00-0800 would be a better option.

For a 2-5/16 inch ball the part # EQ91-00-6100 would be needed or for a 2 inch ball part # EQ91-00-6080.
